What the results mean
| Real discount | At least 5% below the offer's own 30-day low, and not above its 90-day low. |
| Small discount | Below the 30-day low, but only a little. |
| No discount | Same as or above the 30-day low, whatever the label says. |
| Not enough history | Fewer than 21 days of history, so we make no claim. |
Warnings
| "Before" price above 30-day low (flag) | The shop's "before" price is more than 1% above the lowest price we saw in the previous 30 days. |
| Raised before the sale (flag) | The price went up in the weeks before the sale, then came back down. |
How we check
Under EU law, a shop that announces a price reduction must show as its "before" price the lowest price it charged in at least the 30 days before. We record prices every day from retailers' official feeds and apply fixed rules to every offer.
